About Us
Helen and Steve Hall began developing their collection during four years living in Antigua, West Indies, and travelling throughout the region.
They produced a seasonal boutique collection for a leading five-star resort in 2007 and held two successful Antiguan exhibitions in 2008. Much of their work has a contemporary feel, reflected particularly in stretched canvas collages such as the Sixes and Deadly Beauties and also in Helen's latest series of images featuring the rippled reflections of floating leaves shot from beneath. Helen, an open water diver who originally trained as a journalist and photographer, exhibits the couple's work in UK and Caribbean galleries. Steve, a dive master, keen underwater photographer and marine engineer, is also still a serving member of the British Royal Navy.
All images on this website have been publicly released and/or created since January 2008. In their first whirlwind year of exhibiting, the couple's work attracted two quality resorts, interior designers and waterside homeowners in the Caribbean, UK and USA. Having moved, with their two daughters, back home to Cornwall, UK, they are now focussed on developing the more abstract side of their work.
*NEWS* In summer 2009 Helen is among featured artists in two Devon exhibitions. Duchy Square Centre for Creativity in Princetown, Dartmoor, has selected from emerging artists for a show in its ground floor gallery from 26 June to 20 July, whilst at the same time there will be a diverse range of contemporary work by existing members of the Drawn to the Valley group of artists in the upstairs space. Helen's work also appears as part of "Washed Up 09", from 5 June to 30 August, at Delamore gallery and sculpture garden, Cornwood, near Ivybridge.
